The
vision God has set before us is to develop a “community of partners”.
What does this mean? If we are going to take back our community, then
it’s going to be an effort of the entire community. I was serious
when I said this vision is one in which every man, woman, boy and girl
can get involved. How does it work? In order for us to evangelize the
community of Orlando and the immediate surrounding areas, we’re
going to need manpower.
The
vision God has for Orlando is that we become a model for the world as
to what it looks like and what can be accomplished when a city comes
together as a people. God wants all churches, businesses, people from
every nationality, color and culture to pull together to rid our city
of the sin that has infested it with crime. This is not a call for any
one church to increase its membership. It’s not a call for anyone
to make money. It’s not a call for anyone to achieve fame. It’s
not a call for societies’ elite to step in and dictate how God’s
Spirit should move or if God’s Spirit should move. It is a call
for everyone to abandon all self ambition and lend this city their time,
talent and resources in an effort to reclaim our city.
To pull this off, we will need many resources which includes; food,
water, financial support, stage equipment, sound equipment, land etc…..
There is nothing that we need for this MMMMOVEMENT that we don’t
already have right here in our community. We have restaurants and grocery
stores that have the food we need. We have businesses, churches and
individuals who have the manpower and financial resources we need. God
wants us to pool together all our resources and as a community, band
together in order to facilitate this MMMMOVEMENT of the Holy Spirit
throughout our city.
To
make this happen, we’re going to need people with great organizational
skills and people with a heart to give for the greater cause of lost
individuals of our community. Every resource we need is here. The task
is to bring those resources together, just as God has commanded that
the Church come together, so that His Word might go forth. The scripture
below helps us understand what our commitment should be to one another,
especially those in need.
Acts 2:44 - 47 (NKJV) Now all who believed
were together, and had all things in common, and sold their possessions
and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
